NCU Purge Setting For No Purge

The following system clarification should be noted while NOT using the auto purge option on the above referenced NCU units.

Background - refer to the auto purge in NCU Update Latest updates to One and Two Channel Controllers

In the above referenced update it was noted that in order to disable the auto purge option on your controller the settings for the cycle count, delay after mold open, purge time and purge pressure should all be set to 0. It has been found that some customers would like to have a purge pressure set in the purge options in order to allow a manual purge from the touch screen to take place. It should be noted that when the purge count is set to 0 and the purge pressure is set to a value greater that 0, the NCU is fooled into believing that the system should be set to continuously purge when the mold switch is in the open position.

If an operator needs to disable the auto purge option while still wanting to manual purge from the touch screen, the purge parameters must be set up prior to manual purging, the manual purge can then take place, and then the purge parameters should be reset. It would also be possible to set up the auto purge for the pressure desired but set the cycle count to its maximum of 99.
